Code of Conduct

Last updated: January 26, 2026

Our Commitment

Global Soccer Events is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all members of the youth soccer community. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and our commitment to maintaining a positive experience for players, families, coaches, and tournament organizers.

Core Values

Respect

Treat all users with dignity and respect, regardless of age, skill level, background, or experience. Value diverse perspectives and communicate with courtesy and professionalism.

Integrity

Be honest and transparent in all interactions. Provide accurate information about teams, tournaments, and player availability. Honor commitments and follow through on agreements.

Fair Play

Compete fairly and ethically. Do not engage in player poaching, misrepresentation, or any practices that undermine the spirit of youth soccer development.

Safety

Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all participants, especially youth players. Report any concerning behavior or safety issues immediately.

Expected Behavior

All users are expected to:

  • Communicate respectfully and professionally at all times
  • Respond to inquiries and messages in a timely manner (within 48 hours)

  • Respect the commitments players have to their current teams
  • Seek appropriate permissions before recruiting players from other teams
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information shared through the Platform
  • Give constructive feedback and handle disagreements professionally
  • Report violations of this Code of Conduct to Platform administrators

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Discriminatory language or behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Player poaching or recruiting without proper consent from current teams
  • Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Sharing private or confidential information without permission
  • Spam, solicitation, or commercial advertising unrelated to soccer opportunities
  • Threats, violence, or abusive language
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate contact with minors
  • Retaliation against users who report violations

Coach Responsibilities

Coaches and team managers have additional responsibilities:

  • Verify that guest spot opportunities are legitimate and accurately described
  • Screen players appropriately and communicate selection decisions respectfully
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with youth players and families
  • Prioritize player development and well-being over winning
  • Comply with all applicable youth sports regulations and background check requirements
  • Be transparent about costs, expectations, and commitments

Player Poaching Policy

To maintain trust and integrity in the youth soccer community:

  • Coaches may only recruit players who are genuinely available (not currently committed to another team)
  • If a player is on another team, coaches must obtain permission from the current coach before recruiting
  • Players and families should be honest about their current commitments
  • Guest spot opportunities should be for temporary needs, not permanent roster building
  • Violations of this policy may result in account suspension or termination

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:

  • Report it immediately through the Platform's reporting system
  • Provide as much detail as possible, including dates, usernames, and screenshots if available
  • Do not retaliate or engage with the violator
  • Allow Platform administrators to investigate and take appropriate action

Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warning and required acknowledgment of the Code of Conduct
  • Temporary suspension of account privileges
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to relevant authorities for serious violations (e.g., threats, abuse of minors)

The severity of the response will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation. Global Soccer Events reserves the right to take immediate action for serious violations without prior warning.
